Monitoring systems for in-home care

A platform of the device using a robot technology equipped with overturn detection sensors and external communication functions used for home nursing care.

Definitions

• Allows simultaneous monitoring on multiple rooms.
• Allows monitoring in a bathroom.
• Usable in a dark place.
• Not rely solely on information obtained from care-requiring person’s behaviors of voluntarily seeking help (pressing a button, and sounding a voice, etc.).
• Carrying or wearing a terminal by a care-requiring person is not mandatory.
• Allows detection of care-requiring person’s falls, and notifications to the care worker.
• A developer can set and detect at least one indicator concerning the change in the life and physical condition of care-requiring persons, thereby enabling information sharing with care workers.
• As a monitoring platform for those with dementia, allows functional expansions and connections with other devices and software.
