1. Purpose
The purpose is to solicit companies and other entities with a strong commitment to developing robotic care equipment for "Key Areas of Robot Technology Application in Care Services." This initiative aims to establish a partnership involving the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), other relevant agencies, and participating companies. This partnership will serve as a platform to identify and match the needs of users and care settings. It will also facilitate the provision of development-supporting information from government bodies and incorporate feedback from participating companies into policies for the development and practical implementation of robotic care equipment.
2. The Role of Partnerships
(1) Feedback on efforts by developers and users/care facilities to understand
and match user and care facility
needs, and to facilitate opinion exchange for verification
(2) Information provision from the administrative
side:
Advice from the Technos Aid Association (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare)
regarding development,
and information on measures for developing and practicalizing robotic care equipment
(3) Gathering opinions on
future measures for practical application of robotic care devices.
Challenges faced by companies in advancing
development.
Needs for modularization and standardization, and other requirements.
(4) Promoting utilization
of the Life Support Robot Safety Verification Center.
Advancing its use as a testing site for safety standards
and other verification tests.
Providing information on standards, certification, and standardization.
