<Event Concluded> FY2024 AMED Project to Promote the Development of Robotic Care Equipment (Infrastructure Development):
1stSeminar "Key Points of the Clinical Evaluation Guidelines" / "Prospects and Challenges for the Global Expansion of Robotic Care Equipment"
(Webex Webinar)

Purpose of the Event
We will hold the first seminar of the FY2024 Project to Promote the Development of Robotic Care Equipment (Infrastructure Development) online on Thursday, June 27, 2024, starting at 3:00 PM.
This seminar will focus on the themes of “Key Points of Clinical Evaluation Guidance” and “Prospects and Challenges for the Overseas Expansion of Robotic Care Equipment.” It is intended primarily for developers of robotic care equipment, with the aim of deepening their understanding of the importance of clinical evaluation in care settings and the challenges and opportunities associated with the global expansion of their products.
We have invited Mr. Tatsu Takahashi from the New Business Division of the Robot Solutions Business Headquarters at FUJI Co., Ltd. (developer of the "Hug" transfer support robot), Mr. Isamu Kajitani, Principal Researcher at the Human Augmentation Research Center of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), and Professor Koji Ohata from the Faculty of Health Sciences at Hokuriku University to serve as speakers. They will present on the clinical evaluation guidelines* and discuss the potential and challenges of overseas expansion for robotic care devices.Following the presentations, there will be a Q&A session where speakers will answer questions from attendees. We look forward to welcoming a wide range of participants, including developers considering the overseas expansion of their proprietary products, those interested in trends within the robotic care equipment industry, and businesses considering new entry into this sector.
* Clinical Evaluation Guidance for Robotic Care Equipment (for Companies Expanding Domestically), 2nd Edition (Handbook)
* Clinical Evaluation Guidance for Overseas Expansion for Robotic Care Equipment Developers
From the Seminar Organizing Committee:
The Organizing Committee aims to build a "robotic care equipment industry ecosystem" through awareness-raising activities, such as disseminating information at seminars on robotic care equipment and operating a portal site. The term “industry ecosystem” used here refers to a state in which players involved in robotic care equipment—including developers, care facilities, individual users, new entrants to the care sector, and local governments—come together to form a community capable of independently facilitating information sharing, matchmaking, consultation, human resource development, and recruitment within that community. We believe that the formation of this robotic care equipment industry ecosystem will stimulate the exchange of information and meet the needs of developers and users alike, leading to accelerated development and adoption in the future.
We look forward to your participation.
