Seventh Seminar: "How to Select Care Robots When Introducing Them: Minimizing the Gap with the Field" (Webex Webinar)
Purpose of the Event
The seventh seminar for the FY2022 Robot Care Equipment Development Promotion Project (Environment Improvement) will be held online starting at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 27, 2023. Titled "How to Select Equipment When Introducing Care Robots: Minimizing the Gap with the Field," this seminar aims to deepen understanding of key considerations in selecting robotic care equipment and practical implementation methods.
As our speaker, we are pleased to welcome Ms. Junko Yasuda from the Japan No-Lift Association. Ms. Yasuda advocates for the "No-Lift Care" philosophy, which promotes care that does not rely solely on human hands. She is actively involved in various initiatives to improve nursing and care, including the promotion of robotic care equipment. She will present on key points and considerations for selecting robotic care equipment. Following the presentation, she will answer questions from participants.
We encourage broad participation from all involved in care, including care providers interested in robot utilization in facilities or home care, and developers seeking to deepen their understanding of the user perspective on robotic care equipment.
Speaker Profile:
Ms. Junko Yasuda (Representative Director, Japan No-Lift Association) After working
as a medical clerk and obtaining her practical nurse qualification, she attended nursing school and became a registered nurse.After three years working in medical institutions, she studied abroad in Australia. While studying, she worked part-time at an elderly care facility where she was deeply impressed by the "No Lifting Policy" philosophy, which respects both the safety of those receiving nursing and care and the health of those providing it.
2005: Transferred to the School of Nursing at Flinders University (Adelaide), South Australia, and obtained Australian nursing licensure.
2006: Pursued a graduate degree in Healthcare Management at the same university.
2009: Established the Japan No-Lifting Association.
2010: Incorporated the association as a general incorporated association and assumed the position of Representative Director.
From the Seminar Organizing Office
The organizing office aims to build a "Robotic Care Equipment Industry Ecosystem" through information dissemination at seminars on robotic care equipment and awareness-raising activities via portal site operation.The industry ecosystem referred to here describes a self-sustaining community where stakeholders—including developers of robotic care equipment, care facility and individual users, new entrants to the care sector, and local governments—gather. Within this community, information sharing, matching, consultation, human resource development, and recruitment occur autonomously. We believe that forming this robotic care equipment industry ecosystem will invigorate the exchange of needs and information between developers and users, accelerating future development and adoption.
We look forward to welcoming many participants.
