<Event Concluded> Announcement of Symposium on the Global Expansion of Care Technology
[Thursday, December 5, 2024 / Venue: Kudan Kaikan Terrace
Conference & Banquet, Phoenix Banquet Hall]

Purpose of the Event
As part of the AMED Project to Promote the Development of Robotic Care Equipment, a symposium titled “Symposium on the Global Expansion of Care Technology” will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM.
The Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) have been working to support the development of robotic care equipment in Japan through the Project to Promote the Development of Robotic Care Equipment, with the aim of using technology to solve challenges in care settings both domestically and internationally in Japan, a country leading the world in population aging. To date, AMED has provided development support for over 100 projects through related initiatives, resulting in the practical implementation of numerous care devices.
At this symposium, through keynote speeches and panel discussions by experts—including Program Supervisors (PS) and Program Officers (PO) from the Project to Promote the Development of Robotic Care Equipment—as well as presentations by developers, we will introduce Japan’s cutting-edge care technologies, insights and know-how for overseas expansion, and examples of their use both domestically and internationally. Additionally, the venue will feature an exhibition of actual robotic care equipment and provide opportunities for networking and interaction between developers and symposium participants.
We invite you to join us and encourage your colleagues to attend as well.
