A report meeting on accelerating the introduction of care robots was held.
The "Reporting Session on Accelerating the Introduction of Care Robots" was held at the 2013 International Robot Exhibition (iRex2013).
With the venue filled to capacity and attendees standing, representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) explained their expectations for care robots. Mr. Hirukawa from PL explained the role the Standards Development and Evaluation Consortium plays in this project.Additionally, President Morikawa of ORIX Living explained the significance and considerations for introducing robotic care devices, while Professor Tanaka of Smart Support provided details on the smart suit currently under development.
