Toward a Future Filled with Smiles Through Robotic Care Devices

The "Care Robot Portal Site" aims to promote the adoption of robotic care devices so that care recipients, their families, and those working in the care industry can live valuing their well-being—a state of happiness in both mind and body. We have now created an image video to spark interest in robotic care devices among as many people as possible.
We hope this video serves as a first step in learning about the existence of robotic care devices and understanding how they can be useful in care settings.

First of all, what image do you have of robotic care devices?

  • A being that does work in place of people?
  • A machine equipped with AI that can communicate?
  • Can anyone use it easily with just one button?
  • Stealing people's jobs!?
  • A partner in people's lives and communication?
  • An excellent partner that supports people's work?
  • An entity that eventually surpasses human capabilities and begins to dominate people!?

When you hear the word "robot," images likely come to mind—industrial robots operating in factories, humanoid robots, or the worlds of science fiction novels, movies, and robot anime. I imagine everyone has their
own distinct image. Through our concept video, we hope to convey the following image of robotic care devices to you.

  • A tool that helps increase the time when both caregivers and care recipients feel happiness.
  • To cherish human connection, it's what reaches out to help when it matters most.
  • The potential for providing better care services through the integration of humans and robots

This video conveys the value of harmonizing people and robots in scenarios where robotic care devices prove effective in caregiving settings, alongside the aspirations of the development company involved. It conveys the message that while cherishing the importance of human interaction, we should resolve issues that can be addressed by leveraging robotic capabilities.

Beyond the often impersonal image associated with the word "robot" are passionate developers driven by care and compassion. Robotic care devices are created with people in mind and used with people in mind. Both caregivers
and care recipients can live their care lives with smiles. These devices are developed and utilized by people who find joy in this very purpose.

Robotic care devices are never meant to replace people or take away their jobs. They can be good partners assisting with care, and they can also be good partners for the care recipients themselves. (For specific examples of how robotic care devices are used in care settings, please also refer to the third column .) We

sincerely hope that this video, carrying this message, will be seen by as many people as possible, including those who are not yet familiar with robotic care devices.
