AMED Robot-Assisted Care Equipment Development and Standardization Project (Effect Measurement and Evaluation Project) Results Presentation

"Introduction to the Draft Manual for the Introduction and Operation of Robotic Care Equipment"
— Aiming for "Better Care" Based on Scientific Evidence —
(16th Meeting of the Robotic Care Equipment Development Partnership)

[Purpose of the Event]
Under the "Robotic Care Equipment Development and Standardization Project (Effect Measurement and Evaluation Project)" (FY2018–FY2020), we conducted research and development targeting five types of equipment across four priority areas: "Transfer Assistance (Wearable and Non-Wearable)," "Mobility Support (Outdoors)," "Toileting Support," and "Bathing Support." The goal was to generate scientific evidence regarding the effectiveness of introducing and operating robotic care equipment.
We have not limited ourselves to merely demonstrating scientific evidence of the benefits of implementation; we have also proposed care support plans to facilitate the consideration of robot-assisted care devices, based on a medical perspective regarding the concept of supporting independence. Furthermore, aiming to make these tools easily usable by multidisciplinary care teams, we have devised methods for assessing users, implementation workflows, and monitoring procedures for operational reviews, and have compiled these into a draft implementation and operation manual.
At this results presentation, we will introduce the draft implementation and operation manuals for the targeted robotic care devices, organized by field. We sincerely hope to receive active feedback from a wide range of stakeholders, including care service providers considering the introduction of robotic care devices, professionals who make up care teams, and local government officials. We look forward to your participation.
Participation is free, but advance registration is required. Please register using the form at the link below.
