Purpose of the Event
On Thursday, July 14, we will host the first online seminar for the FY2022 Project to Promote the Development of Robotic Care Equipment (Infrastructure Development).
In this seminar, we will welcome representatives from Triple W Japan Co., Ltd.
and Konica Minolta, Inc.—both companies specializing in the development of robotic care equipment—who will discuss how they support the implementation of their products in care facilities.
We have also planned a panel discussion featuring these companies, during which they will answer questions submitted via online chat. We hope that the real-world examples shared by these developers will provide useful insights for introducing your own products into care settings and help enhance your company’s image.
In the seminars held during fiscal year 2021 (two sessions in total), we focused on the guidelines and manuals established through past initiatives related to robotic care equipment. We highlighted particularly important points within the manuals and shared insights that developers should be aware of. Using the "Safety Handbook for the Development of Robotic Care Equipment" as a case study, we provided an opportunity to consider the safety aspects essential for the development of robotic care equipment. We also invited companies developing robotic care equipment to participate in a panel discussion on practical applications of the guidelines and manuals.
The seminar organizing committee aims to promote the growth of the robotic care equipment industry through these outreach and awareness activities and to build a "robotic care equipment industry ecosystem." The industry ecosystem referred to here is a state in which players involved in robotic care equipment—including developers, care facilities, individual users, new entrants to the care sector, and local governments—come together to form a community capable of independently facilitating information sharing, matchmaking, consultation, human resource development, and recruitment within that community. We believe that the formation of this robot care equipment industry ecosystem will stimulate the exchange of information and the alignment of needs between developers and users of robot care equipment, leading to accelerated development and adoption in the future. We look forward to the participation of many individuals and organizations, including companies participating in the partnership meetings.
