【Development Discontinued】Indoor Mobility Assistance Device Utilizing Mechatronics Technology

This indoor walking support device assists elderly individuals with weakened legs and hips who find transferring to a walker difficult, supporting necessary movements (walking, turning, and standing/sitting actions) during activities like going to and from the bed and toilet. By supporting mobility on their own feet as much as possible, it aims to improve the quality of daily life.

Technical Features

・The support table section swings and rises vertically to assist the user's effort when rising from a seated position.
・Servo motors are used for the drive wheels. Motor control prevents abrupt movements and assists compact turning maneuvers with a minimum radius, which was difficult with conventional walkers.
・A fall prevention stopper is provided to prevent the device from tipping sideways or backward.
